Almost like addicted to travel and visiting various charming little hotels,
A and I stumbled upon this beautiful gem while we were surfing the net the other day and decided to give it a try.
WANDERLUST, according to the dictionary, is “a strong desire to travel”.
What a beautiful word! ♥
We were even more impressed when we got to the hotel!
The interiors of the hotel was super gorgeous – I love the details of every wall, every corner.
Even the exterior of the hotel is super nice.
It was actually a school many decades ago and the building was preserved to become the Wanderlust Hotel today.

There are a lot of cute little signs and small details that showed how much effort was put into the decor of this place.
I was super trigger happy when I was there!
I wish I could bring this lightbox home! :p

There is a bar at the lobby with live acoustic music at night.
The chairs are damn cute. There were like barber chairs and even those that looked like supermarket trolleys.

When we checked in, we were handed this little book that looks like some old school miniature jotter book.
All the details about the hotel are written in there,
something very different from other hotels which normally has their information booklets placed in their rooms.
What’s even nicer is that the book is SUPER CUTE!
(comes with a small red pencil too!)

Even the room card is also freaking cute.

Here are some pictures of the corridor to our room.
I like the fire extinguisher signs. Damn cute!

We booked a Whimsical Loft for the night.
There are actually 9 different lofts, all with different designs.
So anticipating which room we’ll get is also quite exciting.
And we… got the Typewriter Monster room!

It is really a super mega huge typewriter!
Need to type with your whole palm. Hahahaha!
The loft is super cool too. It’s like a metal frame which looks super industrial.
I like the whole look and feel of the whole room.
And hor, those of you who has houses with high ceiling can consider doing such metal frames too!
It doesn’t has to be attached to the walls and floor so you don’t have to apply for permit from HDB.
Ok, just saying. Heh!
Here are more pictures of the room.

Super love the basin with a matt finish!

There is also a coffee machine with different kinds of coffee for your selection.
I’m not a coffee fan so I’m not really excited.
A, on the other hand, was thrilled when she saw that!
Keep asking me to drink coffee. *face palm*
Oh! Complimentary chocolate chips cookies too.

This is my beloved runaway suitcase. LOVE!

Ok, something random – OUR TOE NAILS!
Mine is with the cool big toe, his name is Sart Sart because he is very sart.
And A’s is the pretty Bad Ronald. I know his name is pretty stupid.
It’s actually inspired by Ugly Betty. :p
I love the polka dot nails I did for A. She says it makes her toes look happy! Heh.

The runaway suitcase sits in a corner as we settle down and feed our grumbling tummies to some awesome takeaway food!
I love this stall at Perumal Road that sells 新化 (I don’t know if the got the characters right).
The fried bee hoon is TO DIE FOR!

More random photos. A watching TV from the bathtub. :p

And me writing in mirror image from inside of the bathroom.
Ahem, by the way I always thought it’s an incredible skill to be able to write smoothly (and quickly) in mirror image ok!

The bed is up on the loft area. :)

And my best friends to accompany me as I watch my Kampong Ties show on Channel 8.

I also wanna share some of the pretty clothes that arrived in my mailbox couple days ago.
Got a pretty pink dress from Jolieque that makes me look super sweet despite my super short crop! Heh.
Super BHB.

And also this brightly-colored top that made me smile the moment I tore the envelope apart.
I love the blue and orange!
It can be found on Closet Matterz in various colors.

I like the cute buttons on the shoulder!

And of course, my latest hairstyle!
Ok, this time it went a little too short.
I think I look like I just booked out. Hahahaha!
My Dad saw me right after my haircut that day and asked me why I “cut botak”. :x
I love it though!

Short hair also can act sexy ok. HAHAHA!

I also popped by A’s house for her Mom’s little cut cake ceremony on Saturday night.
Her family is damn cute.
They would gather around in the kitchen and have a cut cake ceremony for every single family member’s birthday.
Her Mom would bake a cake for each and every one of them too.
It’s her Mom’s birthday and none of them can bake, so we got one from Hotel Intercontinental. Heh!

And a family photo for them. :)
(Don’t know where Auntie is looking at)

Be back soon with more blog entries!
Goodnight friends.

  4. unfortunately, I had the worst experience ever at wanderlust. Their service is really bad (definitely NOT taliored nor exclusive) and the hotel restaurant does not have special reservation for its hotel guests. -.-” I urge all that for the $ you pay, go for other boutique hotels that could provide you with better service, attitude (toward guests) and happier rooms in better location.

linda – yes! they got that room too! Super cute la!

Miko – Oh no I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience. It was pretty impressive when I went there. Halfway through, the chambermaid came to my room to ask if we need anything extra. And got feedback form to every room somemore!

    z – Hahahaha. Sure~

Shimin – I’m using Olympus Pen for this entry. I think it’s a pretty good camera. You can consider EPL2 or 3! Got inbuilt flash. :)

jassy – Haha. I think she’s more boy than some of them. :p

Jade – Thanks Jade! Both A and my hair is done by Anneth at NEXT ION.
